NEW ULM - Bishop John M. LeVoir will be the celebrant and homilist at a White Mass for all physicians, others in the healthcare field, and their families. It will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 605 North State Street, New Ulm.
The White Mass name is taken from the white lab coat frequently worn by medical professionals. The color white is meant to symbolize hope and purity, as well as peace, well-being, and the healing sought in patient treatment.
