The Diocesan Office of Operations and Finance presents the third annual meeting for Pastors and/or Parish Business Managers on October 25, 2018, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Church of St. Aloysius in Olivia.

Father Mark Steffl will present an Introduction to “temporal goods.” What are temporal goods?These are the worldly possessions of the Church Universal, Diocese, and Parishes possess to help them fulfill their mission. Presentation will include:

• Buildings and other “ecclesiastical goods” which are the belongings of the parish.

• Some information on cemeteries

• Mass stipends

• Stole fees

• Parish finance councils and parish pastoral councils (AFC Councils)

• Which councils are required and when must a pastor consult his council, etc.

There will be time for questions after Father Steffl’s presentation. This will be valuable information for both the business managers and pastors.

Penny Forst will give a brief presentation of the requirements and procedures for the new diocesan census form. There will be time for questions and sharing.

Karla Cross will give a brief presentation on Safe Environment. There will be time for questions and for sharing.
