Here in the diocese we will celebrate the Jubilee of Families on January 3, 2016 with a Holy Mass with Bishop LeVoir at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm followed by a celebration and reception.

Within this Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis has called for a Jubilee of Families, a time to lift up the families of the world in a special way in order that they can be renewed through the consolation, pardon, and hope that this year brings.

As an immediate spiritual preparation for the jubilee there will be a nine day novena, containing a prayer, along with suggested family activities, readings, etc., available through the parish, as well as at dnu.org/jubilee-for-families. We encourage all families to pray the novena together whether you will be attending the celebration at the Cathedral or joining the celebration spiritually from your home parish.

We ask that all families that are planning to attend the Jubilee Mass and celebration enter the Cathedral through the Holy Door of Mercy, the main door at the front of the Cathedral. Let us join together as a diocesan family to celebrate and uplift all families of the world on January 3, 2016.
