Diocesan events and opportunities meant to renew the Church by enkindling a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Education and Prayer

  • Bishop Zielinski offers weekly reflections on the liturgy based upon a book by his friend, Abbott Jeremy Driscoll, OSB titled “What Happens at Mass”. The series started in February 2023 and will continue for 36 weeks, accessible here. Resource is also available in Spanish.

  • The NU Diocese Eucharistic Revival web page has a section with a list of comprehensive resources all about the eucharist including Papal Documents, Magisterial documents and sources, parish programs and resources, and YouTube videos.

    These can be for individual use or they could be shared as a mini-study with staff, small groups, ministers and more.

  • Annual NUDCCW Convention: April 29th, 8a.m.-2:30p.m.

    Church of St. Mary, New Ulm

    “I AM the Bread of Life” theme with speaker Liz Kelly and an exhibit created by Blessed Carlo Acutis on the Miracles of the Eucharist. Link to the event.

  • Marian Rosary Procession: May 7, 2023, 7:00 p.m.

    Schoenstatt on the Lake, Sleepy Eye

    The procession will begin at the Schoenstatt Shrine and end at St. Mary Church, where there will be a half hour of Eucharistic Adoration along with Marian hymns and Benediction. More information about the event.

  • Totus Tuus - a week-long summer catechetical program for youth (June through July 2023)

    To be held in parishes throughout the diocese.

    Teams of four dynamic young adult missionaries tour the diocese spreading their love for Jesus to all they meet. Learn more at www.dnu.org/totus-tuus.

  • Corpus Christi procession: June 11, 2023, 3:00 p.m.

    New Ulm

    Join others from across the diocese for a Eucharistic Procession led by Bishop Chad Zielinski. Adoration starting at the diocese and continuing after the procession at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Picnic style supper to follow in Washington Park, across from Cathedral.

  • Camp Beloved & Camp Greatness: July 22 – Aug. 5

    Schoenstatt-on-the-Lake, Sleepy Eye

  • Parish Musician’s Day of Reflection (Fall 2023)

    Parish musicians are invited to attend a day of reflection and formation on the role of music in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The centrality of the Eucharist and how liturgical music can increase reverence and devotion to this great mystery of our faith to be discussed. The day will include presentations on the Eucharist and sacred music, prayer and fellowship.

  • Parish Sacristans and Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion Day (Fall 2023)

  • COR Night (December 10, 2023 & February 18, 2024)

  • Diocese of Winona Eucharistic Congress: June 10, 2023

    Mankato Mayo Clinic Event Center

    The Eucharistic Congress will include incredible speakers and music, an opportunity to serve the Lord’s poor and vulnerable, a Eucharistic Adoration hall, confessions available, children’s activities, a Eucharistic procession through downtown Mankato, and celebration of the Holy Mass.
